Ecodistrict Vauban & co-housing Genova

research report on the social innovation of the co-operative housing movement

As part of the empirical research of the EU FP7-project TRANSIT (TRANsformative Social Innovation Theory) Iris Kunze and Andrea Philipp have conducted an in-depth case study on the ecodistrict Vauban in Freiburg, Germany, consisting of several co-housing initiatives, also the housing cooperative GENOVA was partly examined. This study is related to the TRANSIT empirical research of the international housing co-operative movement and the local project El Hogar Obrero in Argentina, conducted by Facundo Picabea, Agustín Bidinost and Lucas Becerra from the National University of Quilmes, Buenos Aires, Argentinia.
